MT Raceteam takes a major step forward by bringing Danish motorsport legend Jan Magnussen into the team as driver coach for 16 year old Danish racing talent Marcus Terkildsen.
The partnership marks a significant milestone as Marcus prepares for his first international race season in the Ligier European Series and underlines MT Raceteam’s ambition to develop top level motorsport talent.
A powerful step in driver development
At just 16 years old, Marcus Terkildsen is already recognized as one of the most promising young Danish racing drivers. With natural speed, strong instincts, and impressive physical performance, he has all the foundations required to compete at a high international level.
By adding Jan Magnussen to the program, MT Raceteam brings in more than four decades of elite motorsport experience, including a career spanning Formula 1 and multiple victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Intensive preparation at Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya
The collaboration was already put into action during recent pre season test days at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where the team completed its final preparations ahead of the season kickoff on April 10 to 11.
Working closely together on track, Jan Magnussen focused on refining Marcus Terkildsen’s performance in key areas:
• Driving technique and race lines
• Data analysis and performance optimization
• Mental preparation and race mindset
• Consistency under pressure
The progress was clear throughout the test days, with Marcus showing improved consistency, stronger confidence, and a more complete approach to performance.
